Scholarships at Cypress College

We have offered several hundred in department scholarships in previous years. In more recent semesters we have helped sponsor students through the Charles Pound Memorial Scholarship which is offered to Social Science students each year. See the Division Office for more information.

Philosophy Corner

Occasionally, we have events such as debates or film screenings for those interested in issues relating to Philosophy or Religious Studies. For example, the Philosophy and Religious Studies as well as Journalism Departments at Cypress College sponsored a film screening "OutFoxed" which explores media bias about social and political issues. The co-producer, Jim Gilliam, answered questions from the audience about the film. A brief bio of Jim Gilliam is attached in a flyer for the event (Adobe PDF format).
